Q: My phone says 'unsupported accessory.' What does that mean?

There are two possible issues:

  1. Wrong setup method: You're trying to add the Ridge Tracker Card using AirTag setup • Fix: Use Find My app > Items > Add Item > Other Supported Item

Sharing & Privacy

Q: Can I pair the Ridge Tracker Card with more than one Apple ID?

No, each Ridge Tracker Card can only be linked to one Apple ID at a time. This is a security feature of Apple's Find My network. To transfer ownership, you must first remove it from your current Apple ID, then the new user can add it to theirs.

Q: Can I share the Ridge Tracker Card with other people?

Yes, you can share tracking access with other people through the Find My app's "Share Item" feature. While the Ridge Tracker Card can only be linked to one Apple ID (the owner), you can share location tracking with up to five trusted contacts. This allows other people to see the tracker's location and receive notifications, even though they cannot modify settings or remove the device from your account.

Q: Can someone else track me with my Ridge Tracker Card?

It's extremely unlikely. Apple's Find My system has built-in anti-stalking protections that detect, alert, and prevent unauthorized tracking. Your iPhone will notify you if an unknown tracker is traveling with you.

Q: If someone finds my Ridge Tracker Card, can they reset it?

No, they cannot reset or use it. The Ridge Tracker Card remainslocked to your Apple ID until you remove it yourself. Only you can transfer ownership to someone else.

Technical Questions

Q: Does the Ridge Tracker Card work inside my Ridge Wallet?

Yes, the Ridge Tracker Card works perfectly inside Ridge Wallets. Ridge Wallets use RFID-blocking plates that only block signals around 13.56 MHz (used by credit cards and NFC payments like Apple Pay). The Ridge Tracker Card uses Bluetooth Low Energy at 2.4 GHz, which isn't affected by the RFID shielding.

Q: Does the Ridge Tracker Card have Precision Finding UI?

No, the Ridge Tracker Card provides basic location tracking with proximity alerts and sound only. Unlike AirTags, it doesn't offer Precision Finding features like on-screen arrows, exact distance measurements, or haptic feedback.

Q: Can I use the Ridge Tracker Card internationally?

Yes, the Ridge Tracker Card works anywhere in the world where Apple devices are present. Since it uses Apple's global Find My network, your Ridge Tracker Card can update its location even when you're traveling overseas.

Q: How will I know when the Ridge Tracker Card battery is low?

Your iPhone will automatically send you a notification when the Ridge Tracker Card's battery is running low and needs to be recharged. You'll have plenty of time to charge it wirelessly before it completely dies.
